WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM

I remember sitting in Sabbath school one day and a large man asked a question. You see, he was a little irritated having been bitten by an ant.  He asked, "Why did God make the ant?"  A friend and I almost replied in unison, "Go to the ant thou sluggard, consider her ways and be wise." Proverbs 6:6.  Smiling!

"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their food in the summer." Proverbs 30:25.  In other words they are preparing for hard times ahead!

We are told in the parable of the Ten Virgins, that "the foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them: but the wise virgins took oil in their vessels with their lamps." Matthew 25:3, 4.  What is the lamp?  "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105.  It is very essential to be able to see where we are going when darkness falls.  What is the oil? "My Spirit, saith YAHUWAH of hosts." Zechariah 4:6  "Oil for the light." Ex 25:6; 27:20 etc.

When we store up the Word in our vessels, the Holy Spirit can bring all these things to our remembrance (John 14:26) and help us rightly divide the Word of Truth, and give us grace in the right path.

What are some of the things that the wise will see?  The wise will see that the stories in the Old Testament are written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come.  And that the Exodus story of going into the Promise Land is a type for the last day believers who are exiting the world and Babylon and are preparing to enter the heavenly Promise Land.

Moses admonished us,  "Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as YAHUWAH your Elohim commanded me, that you should do so in the land whither ye go over to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people." Deuteronomy 4:5, 6.  They will see that the statutes are as guards to keep them from sin.  "Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favor." Proverbs 14:9

What else will the wise see?  "The man of wisdom shall see Thy name." Micah 6:9.  They will see that  "every word of Elohim is pure" Proverbs 30:5, and by taking in all of Scripture on the matter will see  "that the testimony of two men is true." John 8:17.  Both Moses and John give the Translation of His great name. "I AM THAT I AM" Exodus 3:14 and  "which is, and which was, and which is to come." Revelation 1:4.

In the show down on mount Carmel between Elijah and the false prophets, the wise will see that this story is written to help us see that calling the Creator by a common title such as Baal (meaning Lord Hosea 2:16 margin) is not  "the restitution of all things" Matt. 17:11.  And in this very story, the testimony of two men is true again, both Eliyahu and Obadyahu are testimonies to the pronunciation of the first part of the sacred name (see I Kings 17:1 margin & 18:3 margin KJV).

After reading  "We ought to obey Elohim rather than men." Acts 5:28.  The wise man considereth that  "Great men are not always wise." Job 32:9.  Just because a person is highly esteemed or in great position, doesn't mean that they are all wise. He pondereth yet further, "if man says that Sunday is holy, does this mean that he renders obedience to the Creator for resting on this day?" Certainly not!  He pondereth still, "Because everyone is doing it, does that make it right?" Certainly not!  The wise man continues pondering, "If everyone knows the Saviour as Jesus does that mean thats His name?  Is this the name Gabriel delivered to Yoseph and Miriam, His earthly parents?  Is man the final word on this matter?  Or, shall we be judged of the Creator in this?  Does man have the authority to set the standard?

Does man have authority to change or  "alter that which is gone out of My lips"? Psalm 89:34

"I know that, whatsoever Elohim doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and Elohim doeth it, that men should fear before Him." Ecclesiastes 3:14

Job said, "Behold, the fear of the Sovereign, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding." Job 28:28

Since man has altered the sacred name and the name of the Saviour (namely the Greeks) does it not behoove us to depart from this evil?

"A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth and is confident." Proverbs 14:16

"The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath." Proverbs 15:24

After reading the Scripture all the way through, the wise man pondereth yet further.  It seems that man is obsessed with being an inventor, making things etc..

In ancient times man would form an image, give it a name, and worship it.  The wise man pondereth, "there is no new thing under the sun." Ecclesiastes 1:9.  As in ancient times, so it is now!  Man having named the Creator, is an attempt once again to create the Creator.  Who is man that he should name the Creator?  Is this fearing the Sovereign?  What saith the Creator on this wise?  "I am YAHUWAH: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images." Isaiah 42:8.  "For I am YAHUWAH, I change not." Malachi 3:6

"Nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips." Ps. 89:34.  "With Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James 1:17.  "The same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8.  Does everyone get the point?  His name does not change do to human reasoning through culture and time, its eternal.  Once this concept is grasped, we can sound the Three Angels message, "Fear YAHUWAH and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and fountains of water." Revelation 14:7

A greater than Solomon was here (Mt. 12:42), He said, "whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock (a symbol of something that doesn't change, always the same): and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.  And everyone that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man.

The wise receiveth the testimony of YAHUSHUA the Messiah, he hath set to his seal that Elohim's word is true (John 3:33), since they know what truth is, they know what truth is not; and recognize the counterfeit.  The foolish set to their seal lies, falsehood and errors, which say, "When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge and under falsehood have we hid ourselves." Isaiah 28:15

What else will the wise see?  "Here is wisdom.  Let him count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six." Revelation 13:18.  Papists have now thought to hide this so that it would not apply to the pope.  This is what the pope claims to be  "Vicar of the Son of God."

  V   I   C   A   R  I   U  S   F  I   L   I   I    D   E  I
   5  1 100 0   0  1   5   0   0   1 50  1 1  500  0  1 = 666

Satan's puppet claims to be in the place of God, and has thought to change the times and laws of our Creator.  The foolish will wonder after the pope.  But the wise virgins  "follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth." Revelation 14:4.  To the wise virgins the Father's name was everything, it is written in their foreheads, it keeps them from idolatry, and from being defiled with churches.

Now  "we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

"For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom YAHUWAH commendeth." II Corinthians 10:12, 18

"Let no man deceive himself.  If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise." I Corinthians 3:18

"Thy name is as oil poured forth, therefore do the virgins love Thee." Song of Solomon 1:3 [Shemen is translated  "oil" about 164 times and "ointments" about 13 times, compare also Isaiah 1:6 margin]

"STUDY to shew thyself approved unto Elohim." II Tim. 2:15 (emphasis added)
